Our client is a fast‑growing specialist Operations & Maintenance provider supporting commercial and industrial Solar PV systems across the UK. As their portfolio continues to expand, they are looking to appoint an experienced and motivated O&M Engineer to support the Electrical Manager and play a key role in developing the technical team.

The role is field‑based, working on both rooftop and ground‑mounted Solar PV systems. You will be hands‑on in delivering inspections, maintenance and remedial works nationwide, with a mix of independent working and team collaboration. Travel and occasional overnight stays will be required.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out inspections, fault finding, diagnostics and preventative maintenance on commercial rooftop and ground‑mounted solar PV systems
- Undertake system repowers, component replacements and performance upgrades
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors for larger‑scale remedial projects
- Communicate confidently with clients on‑site, providing progress updates and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
- Maintain accurate work logs, inspection records and technical reports
- Travel nationally to support client sites, including occasional overnight stays
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent)
- ECS Gold Card
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Desirable: AM2 / 2391 / 2394 / 2395
- Proven experience in commercial Solar PV maintenance and electrical works
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures, including Permit to Work systems and safe systems of work
- Full UK driving licence
- Comfortable working at height, using MEWPs and mansafe systems (training can be provided where required)
- Willingness to travel nationally
- Knowledge of MCS regulations
- First Aid at Work
- Experience with data networks (RS485 / MODBUS)
- IPAF Licence
- Experience working with HV systems
- Competitive salary: £45,000 - £50,000 DOE
