We are recruiting an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to take a leading role within a multidisciplinary building services consultancy based in Manchester. This position offers responsibility for technical delivery client engagement and leadership across a varied portfolio of projects in Manchester and the wider region.

The role combines hands‑on technical input with strategic oversight commercial awareness and team development. You will work across sectors including commercial residential and mission‑critical environments contributing to both project success and long‑term team capability.

• Lead day‑to‑day electrical engineering delivery across complex multi‑disciplinary projects
• Develop electrical design concepts and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
• Act as a key technical point of contact for clients and design teams
• Attend and lead client consultant and internal project meetings
• Produce and review technical reports specifications calculations and design packages
• Support fee management resource planning and project progress tracking alongside senior leadership
• Mentor and support apprentices graduates and early‑career engineers
• Coordinate closely with internal teams and external consultants
• Ensure technical accuracy quality assurance and consistency across all deliverables

• Extensive experience delivering electrical engineering solutions on complex building services projects
• Strong background in consultancy‑based multi‑disciplinary design environments
• Proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows
• Working knowledge of Electrical OM Dialux Relux and related design tools
• Excellent understanding of modern design coordination and project delivery processes
• Strong client‑facing skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
• High standard of written communication including technical reporting
• Proven ability to mentor guide and develop junior engineers
• Collaborative professional and commercially aware approach
