Site Manager – Energy Storage Specialist

Location: Manchester/Leeds sites

Type: Permanent, Full-time

My client is seeking a Site Manager to oversee the safe and efficient operation of battery energy storage systems (BESS) across multiple UK sites. This role involves hands‑on site Cartier, technical coordination and contractor management to ensure optimal performance and com nple inte with health and safety standards.

• Lead site safety culture and ensure compliance with UK HSE regulations.
• Manage contractors and enforce safe systems of work.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues (BMS, SCADA/DAS, HVAC, etc.).
• Execute service agreements and monitor KPIs for asset performance.
• Act as primary on‑site contact for stakeholders and customers.
• Coordinate technical support, upgrades, and projectals for maintenance campaigns.
• Drive continuous improvement and capture lessons learned.

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience (5+ years in energy/power sector).
• Strong technical knowledge of HV/LV systems, inverters, and control systems (ideally BESS or grid‑scale assets).
• Proficiency with SCADA/DAS and data analysis tools.
• Solid understanding of health & safety regulations and permit‑to‑work processes.
• Experience with grid‑scale BESS or renewable energy assets.
• Project management experience in industrial/energy contexts.

• IOSH Managing Safely (NEBOSH preferred), First Aid, Electrical Safety.
• Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
