Senior Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Company & Client Policy with respect to water sector requirements.
• Complete specific design tasks as delegated by the Project Discipline Engineer or Engineering Manager as appropriate.
• Deliver work packs in a timely and cost effective manner in line with Company & Client Project requirements and applicable Company & Client Codes and Standards.
• When task forces are mobilised, select team members through the SQEP process and maintain familiarity in the appropriate field of work.
• Maintain Quality Assurance, produce auditable records, and maintain technical files in line with CDM requirements.
• Liaise smoothly and efficiently with Other Associated Partners and disciplines as required.

A Senior Mechanical Engineer – Water is an engineer with specific knowledge and experience within their specialist field and discipline (i.e. SQEP d Suitably Qualified Experienced Person).

A Senior Mechanical Engineer – Water is capable of production and checking of mechanical engineering designs and deliverables across a range of water projects, and carrying out Lead Mechanical Engineer role on a small project.

Typically a minimum of 6 years experience in their discipline or a closely related one.

Proficiency in the delivery of engineering design across a number of work categories.

• Process Flow Diagrams
• Plant Layout
• Equipment Specifications and Datasheets
• Pumping system calculations

• Waste water treatment
• Biosolids/sludge treatment
• Pumping systems
• Chemical storage and dosing
• Asset condition surveys and reports
