Location:
Nationwide (stay away 3‑4 nights a month, commissioning‑only role). Write reports from home; occasional office visits. Offices in Wigan and London.

Salary: £35,000 to £55,000 plus package and benefits (DOE).

Commissioning Engineer – Air Conditioning SystemsUp Front Recruitment is recruiting a Commissioning Engineer to join a long‑established air‑conditioning specialist, providing commissioning and technical support services across the UK.
This role focuses purely on commissioning and technical support – no installation responsibilities. The position replaces a long‑serving employee retiring after 16 years, offering genuine stability and longevity.
What's On Offer- Salary £35,000 to £55,000 depending on experience.

- Car allowance circa £4,000 plus mileage at 40 ppm.

- Commissioning air conditioning and heat pump systems nationwide.
- Working with VRF, chillers, split systems and control systems.
- Attending site for commissioning, testing and troubleshooting.
- Providing technical support to contractors and consultants.
- Liaising with manufacturers and attending training courses.
- Completing commissioning documentation and site reports.
- Writing reports remotely from home when required.
- Occasional travel and overnight stays, fully expensed.
- Periodic office attendance to meet and collaborate with the team.
- Experience commissioning air conditioning or HVAC systems.
- Strong technical understanding of HVAC equipment and controls.
- Comfortable working independently on live sites.
- Good communication and problem‑solving skills.
- IT literate with Microsoft Office.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel and stay away 3–4 nights per month.
