Customer Quality Engineer - Manchester, UK
My client is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer - Manchester, UK to join their Quality team in a fast-paced semiconductor/manufacturing environment. This is a customer-facing Customer Quality Engineer role based in Manchester, UK, where you will manage customer issues, drive problem resolution, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Handle customer claims from receipt to closure, implementing containment actions as needed
- Perform root cause analysis and coordinate solutions with cross‑functional teams
- Keep customers updated, ensuring timely resolution and high satisfaction
- Build strong relationships with key customers and internal teams
- Degree or relevant experience in semiconductor, electronics, materials, automotive, or related field
- Knowledge of semiconductor products and manufacturing processes
- Experience with 8D problem solving; VDA 6.3 knowledge desirable
- Strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills
- Customer-focused, organised, and able to work independently
