Lead Sprinkler Estimator
UK Sprinklers – PTSG Fire Division
📍 Manchester (Hybrid – 2–3 days office based)
A senior estimating role with room to grow
UK Sprinklers, part of the PTSG Fire Division, are expanding their commercial function and are now looking to appoint a Lead Sprinkler Estimator to support and guide a small, growing estimating team.
This role is ideal for a highly experienced Sprinkler Estimator who still enjoys being hands‑on but is ready to take the next step — influencing standards, supporting others, and playing a wider role in how work is priced and delivered.
You’ll remain actively involved in estimating major projects while also providing technical leadership and structure across the team.
What the role involves- Lead by example on complex and high‑value sprinkler tenders
- Review and oversee estimates produced by the wider estimating team
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring and quality assurance
- Support workload planning and prioritisation across the team
- Act as a key point of contact between estimating, sales and delivery
- Ensure all estimates align with company guidelines and relevant standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes
- Has confidence working on large, complex and multi‑million‑pound projects
- Has strong knowledge of UK fire suppression standards (BS EN 12845, BS 9251, BS 9990)
- Enjoys supporting and developing others without stepping away from technical work
- Is looking for long‑term progression into a broader commercial or leadership role
- Formal management experience isn’t essential — credibility, technical strength and the right mindset matter
- Competitive senior‑level salary (dependent on experience)
- Commission structure linked to performance
- Hybrid working (2–3 days per week in the Manchester office)
- Clear professional development and progression opportunities
- Access to PTSG/Vivup employee benefits package
