Your impactIn this newly created role, you will work as part of a growing team of industry and subject‑matter experts delivering some of the largest and most impactful national and global infrastructure projects across sectors such as road, rail, nuclear and the wider built environment.
Responsibilities- Lead the delivery of fire engineering design and liaise with and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Deliver fire strategies supported by fire engineering analysis using prescriptive and analytical methods.
- Ensure implementation of national and international standards, including BS 9999, BS 9991, BS 9992, ADB, NFPA, and IBC codes.
- Carry out engineering calculations or perform fire engineering analysis.
- Assist in the bidding process of future work and develop networking channels.
- Participate in site inspections of tunnels and related infrastructure facilities as and when required.
- Support and mentor colleagues, developing the team and its capabilities.
- Research, write and present conference papers.
- Bachelor or master’s degree in engineering or science.
- A demonstrable background in fire life safety engineering.
- A track record in the successful development of fire strategies and execution of fire engineering design works.
- Good knowledge of national and international fire regulations and standards such as ADB, British Standards, NFPA, UAE FLS Code, Fire Code (SBC 801), and IBC/IFC Codes.
- An established project delivery career.
