Hours:

Monday – Thursday 07:30 – 16:00, Friday 07:30 – 13:00

Our client, a leading structural steel fabrication company, is looking for an experienced Structural Steel Estimator to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in steel estimation who can manage enquiries, visit sites, prepare accurate quotes, and convert orders into manufacturing packages. You will play a key role in maintaining excellent client relationships while identifying new business opportunities.

• Prepare accurate quotations and convert enquiries into manufacturing packages.
• Visit client sites to understand requirements and provide professional guidance.
• Identify the most efficient fabrication processes and associated costs.
• Communicate effectively with workshop teams, project managers, and clients.
• Negotiate and complete tenders to secure sales.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, identifying new opportunities.
• Manage workload independently, ensuring timely and high-quality responses to all enquiries.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience estimating structural steel projects.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and extract material requirements.
• Strong knowledge of the steel fabrication sector and related supply chains.
• Proven track record of client-facing sales and relationship management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
• Strong numerical, financial, and commercial awareness.
• IT literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
• Proactive, highly organised, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
