Technical
  • Hands‑on pedestrian modelling and delegation of junior staff.
  • Presentation at project meetings to stakeholders and clients.
  • Proactive interfacing with other disciplines for design inputs.
  • Scope and programme management of smaller or parts of larger projects.
  • Technical task management and delegated approvals as per experience.
  • Rail projects and other sectors such as Sports, Cultural, High‑Rise buildings.
Skills
  • Business development and networking.
  • Staff coaching and training of new starters.
What we will be looking for you to demonstrate
  • Excellent pedestrian modelling skills (Bentley Legion, PTV Vis Walk, Mass Motion, CAST). Familiarity with Pathfinder, VISSIM, S‑Paramics, AIMSUM, LINSIG, TRANSYT, ArcGIS, Power BI, coding.
  • Completed pedestrian modelling projects to high standards with clear client objectives.
  • For seniors: project management experience, estimating work, budgeting, delivery.
  • An undergraduate degree in a numerate, transport or planning-related discipline.
  • Knowledge of pedestrian planning guidance (LUL, Green Guide, Network Rail manual) and static capacity assessment techniques.
  • Communication skills for non‑technical audiences – reports, meetings, presentations.
  • Analytical/critical thinking and data interpretation.
  • Commercial awareness – H&S, programmes, risks, resourcing, budgets.
  • Additional transport planning experience in commercial environments or knowledge of sectors such as airports, sports/events.
