Responsibilities:

• Lead the fire safety design of buildings.
• Collaborate with Hoare Lea colleagues as part of a multi‑disciplinary team and maintain relationships with long‑term external clients.
• Apply detailed knowledge of UK regulations and design guidance.
• Integrate other construction professionals’ requirements into the project.
• Ensure open communication among all project team members and provide timely feedback.
• Attend design team meetings, workshops, client meetings and site meetings.
• Travel to clients or projects in the UK, and occasionally internationally, according to project demands.
• Use software analysis tools – evacuation, smoke and fire modelling, heat radiation models and structural fire modelling.

Qualifications &

Experience:

• Experience with in a fire engineering consultancy role.
• Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Building Services, Maths, Architecture, or Physics with a keen interest in Fire Engineering.
• IT proficiency and working knowledge of fire modelling software analysis tools.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive team player.
• Capacity to deliver to demanding timescales, with strong organisational and planning skills.
