Senior Architectural Technologist — Manchester
An established, design-led architectural practice based in central Manchester is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architectural Technologist to join its growing team. This role offers the opportunity to take a lead position in the technical delivery of healthcare projects, spanning both refurbishment and new-build work.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technologist who is passionate about precision, technical excellence, and collaborative working, and who wants to play a key role in shaping high-quality healthcare environments.
Responsibilities- Lead the technical delivery of healthcare projects, ensuring full compliance with client briefs, statutory requirements, and industry standards
- Act as a job runner, managing projects independently while also overseeing and mentoring small technical teams
- Contribute to site delivery, providing technical input, resolving construction issues, and supporting contractors and consultants
- Work closely with architects, designers, consultants, and clients to develop robust, practical, and innovative technical solutions
- Produce and coordinate high-quality technical drawings, specifications, and construction information
- Minimum 5 years' experience delivering healthcare projects, including refurbishment and new-build schemes
- Proven ability to run projects and manage multiple workloads concurrently
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a client-focused approach
- Sound knowledge of healthcare regulations, standards, and technical compliance requirements
- Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
- Experience with Sketch Up, Enscape, InDesign, and Photoshop is advantageous
