Role DescriptionThe Safeguarding Manager is responsible for the operational oversight and coordination of safeguarding practice across Further Education, Higher Education, and Apprenticeship provision. Working closely with the Head of Safeguarding, the role acts as point of contact for Safeguarding practice, advice and guidance, ensuring that safeguarding concerns are identified promptly, assessed appropriately, and managed effectively across learning, employer, and workplace environments, in line with statutory guidance and organisational policy.
Qualifications- Strong knowledge and experience in safeguarding policies, procedures, and compliance within educational environments.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to effectively guide and support staff and students.
- Effective collaboration skills to work with external agencies and internal teams to address safeguarding challenges.
- Experience in implementing training programs related to safeguarding awareness and protocols.
- Proficiency in managing sensitive information with confidentiality and compassion.
- Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in safeguarding, child protection, or a related field.
- Experience working in a creative or educational setting is highly beneficial.
