Accommodation Welfare Officer - Out of Hours

We are looking for an On Site Accommodation & Welfare Officer to support our students living in residences across Manchester city centre. Reporting to the Accommodation and Welfare Manager, you will provide out-of-hours cover, mainly between 3pm and 6am on a rota basis, including weekends and holiday periods.

This is a hands‑on role focused on safeguarding, wellbeing and community. You will welcome students on arrival, support under 18s in line with policy, respond to incidents and emergencies, promote good order within residences and act as a key point of contact outside office hours. You will work closely with the Welfare and Support Services teams, liaise with parents and external partners where required, oversee room checks and building issues, and help create a safe, friendly and well‑managed living environment.

This role suits someone calm, responsible and confident working independently, with a strong commitment to student welfare and high standards of care.
