We are seeking a dedicated and experienced EHCP Coordinator to join a thriving college in Greater Manchester, supporting learners aged 16+ with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
This is a pivotal role within the college's inclusion team, ensuring that students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) receive the tailored support, provision, and opportunities they need to succeed in further education and beyond.
As EHCP Coordinator, you will take the lead in managing and overseeing EHCP processes across the college, ensuring statutory compliance and high-quality provision for learners.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinating and monitoring EHCPs for college-aged students (16-25)
- Leading annual reviews and liaising with local authorities
- Working collaboratively with curriculum staff, support teams, parents/carers, and external professionals
- Ensuring provision outlined in EHCPs is effectively implemented and reviewed
- Supporting transition planning from school into further education and onward destinations
- Maintaining accurate, up-to-date documentation in line with statutory requirements
- Advising and guiding staff on inclusive practice and SEND strategies
You will play a central role in ensuring learners' needs are met, barriers are reduced, and outcomes are ambitious and achievable.
Required Qualifications and Experience- Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and the EHCP statutory framework
- Experience working with college-aged learners (16-25), ideally within further education
- Demonstrates excellent organisational and case management skills
- Communicates confidently with local authorities, families, and multi-agency professionals
- Is proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-focused
- Is passionate about inclusive education and improving outcomes for young people with SEND
- Be part of a supportive and forward-thinking college environment
- Play a key role in shaping inclusive practice across the organisation
- Work directly with learners to positively influence their educational journeys
