Aspire People are currently recruiting for an experienced and compassionate Autism Support Teaching Assistant to support pupils within primary schools in the M16 area of Manchester.

This long-term position is ideal for a committed individual who has a strong understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and is dedicated to providing high-quality, personalised support that enables pupils to reach their full potential both academically and socially.

As an Autism Support Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide focused 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Autism
• Assist in implementing EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
• Support the development of communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation skills
• Use structured approaches, including visual timetables and sensory strategies
• Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure consistent support and progress
• Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

To be considered for this role, you should have:

• Experience supporting children with Autism, ideally within a school setting
• A strong understanding of ASD and effective classroom-based strategies
• A patient, adaptable, and resilient approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
