Salary: £29,064 - £32,061 per annum
We currently have an exciting opportunity for part time Cover Supervisors to join our fantastic team at Manchester Enterprise Academy (MEA) in Wythenshawe.
The post is permanent working either full or part time 14-21 hours/2-3 days per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days. The pro‑rata salary is £9,999-£14,999 part time and £25,640 full time 35 hours, Grade 5.
Main purpose of the jobAs a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning for our students by delivering pre‑planned lessons during the short‑term absence of teaching staff. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a classroom environment and contribute to the wider life of our school.
Key Responsibilities- Delivering engaging, pre‑set lessons to whole classes
- Managing classroom behaviour to ensure a safe and productive learning environment
- Assessing student progress during cover lessons and updating records as required
- Supporting students across a range of subjects and activities
- Supporting curriculum areas and pastoral teams when not covering lessons
- Providing additional support to curriculum and pastoral teams
We are looking for individuals who are:
- Confident working with young people and managing classroom settings
- Passionate about education and committed to student success
- Professional, reliable, and enthusiastic team players
- Good literacy and numeracy skills (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent)
- Experience working with or caring for children or young people
Understanding of the national curriculum and basic learning strategies - A calm, adaptable and positive approach to managing student behaviour
