Passenger Assistant - SEND School Transport (Sittingbourne) Please be aware that the following points are mandatory:
Candidates must live in Sittingbourne or Isle of Sheppey (This is the pick up point) Candidates must hold an enhanced DBS check Candidates must hold a valid KCC badge We are currently recruiting for a Passenger Assistant to work on a mini-bus providing school transport for SEND children. You will be picked up from your home. Please be aware that the role will be a split shift (AM/PM) This is a rewarding role suited to someone reliable, patient, and confident communicating with both children and parents.

Hours and Pay: 18 paid hours per week Monday to Friday (Friday morning shift only) Morning shift: 07:30 - 09:30 (average) Afternoon shift: 14:30 - 16:30 (average) Paid 4 hours per day, except Friday (2 hours paid) £12.21 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting SEN children during school transport Assisting children safely on and off the mini-bus Communicating with parents and school staff Managing challenging behaviour calmly and professionally Ensuring children feel safe and supported during their journey Requirements:
Enhanced DBS KCC badge Must live in Sittingbourne/Isle of Sheppey Strong communication skills

Experience with managing challenging behaviour First Aid training desirable (training can be provided) Additional Information:
No PPE required Dress code: trousers (fleece, umbrella, and polo provided) No medication administration (may assist with pumps and Epi Pens only) Passenger Assistant will be introduced to the children prior to starting for a smooth transition Being picked up from home is preferred; parking costs can be covered if required Apply here and a consultant will contact you ASAP.
