Year 5 Class Teacher

We are looking to recruit an experienced Year 5 Class Teacher for a primary school in Stockport.

This post has an immediate start (February 2026) and will be until the end of the academic year.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 5 Class Teacher to join our team. You will be responsible for leading a vibrant and engaging Year 5 classroom, delivering high-quality lessons that inspire curiosity and promote a love of learning.

Key responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver creative, well-structured lessons aligned with the National Curriculum
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
• Assess and track pupil progress, providing targeted support where needed
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
• Contribute to the wider life of the school, including events, clubs, or curriculum development
• Work collaboratively as part of a supportive KS2 team

We are looking for someone who:

• Is an excellent classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management
• Has high expectations for all pupils and a commitment to raising standards
• Demonstrates creativity, flexibility, and a passion for teaching
• Works well as part of a team and contributes positively to school life
• Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
