Your Responsibilities:
Assist the Year 2 teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons that help children develop essential skills.
Provide 1:1 support and work with small groups of students to help boost their literacy and numeracy skills, focusing on key areas such as phonics.
Support children during targeted interventions to help them progress in specific areas of development.
Help manage the classroom environment by promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all learners.
Monitor student progress, assist with assessments, and help keep track of their learning journeys.
Support children with additional needs, ensuring they feel confident and engaged throughout the day.

What We're Looking For:

A Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or
3) or at least 6 months of experience working in a similar role.
Knowledge and experience of phonics and its application in early literacy development.
Confidence in providing individualised support to children, both in group activities and 1:1 sessions.
A patient, proactive, and flexible approach to supporting children with different learning needs.
Excellent communication skills to work closely with the teacher and other staff members.
A genuine passion for education and helping children grow academically and socially.
