Designated Casual Car User. You must hold a full valid driving licence and provide your own car for work.
DBS ClearanceEnhanced DBS check required.
Role OverviewEnthusiastic and motivating employability Lecturer to join the Preparation for Work team. Part‑time adult courses delivery and assessment.
Courses Include- Short non‑accredited sector specific courses (e.g., Working in the NHS, Working in Schools)
- Week‑long employability courses
- Sector Based Work Academy and Support to Apply provision
- Accredited Entry 3 – L2 Employability skills courses (portfolio based)
- Accredited Entry 1 – L1 Enterprise qualifications (portfolio based)
- Deliver teaching and learning to a consistently good or outstanding standard.
- Assess learners, both formatively and summatively against awarding body criteria/key course targets.
- Take course leadership responsibilities.
- Participate in team meetings and working groups.
- Comply with service quality assurance procedures and policies.
- Keep up to date in subject area.
- Track record of successfully delivering IT courses to varying skills and knowledge levels.
- GCSE A* - C / 9 - 4 in English (essential)
- GCSE A* - C / 9 - 4 in Maths (essential)
- Teaching qualification, ideally Level 5 or willingness to work towards.
- Professional and academic competence/qualifications to teach on the courses.
- Experience of adopting a range of teaching and learning strategies.
- Use of e‑learning platforms such as Google Classroom or willingness to learn.
- Flexible approach and excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Engage and develop adult learners and role model attributes.
