Year 3 Teacher – Longsight

Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working with a supportive primary school in Longsight, seeking a dedicated Year 3 Teacher to join their team from March. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact by helping pupils develop essential reading and phonics skills.

About the Role

You will work closely with Year 3 pupils, delivering targeted phonics interventions to boost reading confidence and prepare learners for the Phonics Screening Check. This role is ideal for a passionate teacher who enjoys working in small groups and tailoring lessons to individual needs.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging phonics sessions for Year 3 pupils
Track and assess progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed
Provide additional support for pupils who require extra help
Collaborate with class teachers and SEN staff to ensure consistency
Create a positive, encouraging learning environment
What We’re Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching phonics (Year 3 preferred)
Strong knowledge of the Letters and Sounds or similar phonics schemes
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to differentiate teaching for varying learning needs
