About The Role
Casual Lecturer – part‑time adult courses in Digital Skills, Computing and IT at Manchester Adult Education.
Working Hours & Contract TypeDaytime and evening sessions. Casual – flexibility on teaching days.

Qualifications & Eligibility- GCSE A* – C / 9 – 4 in English – essential
- GCSE A* – C / 9 – 4 in Maths – essential
- Level 5 teaching qualification or willingness to work towards Level 5;
Level 3 Award in Education and Training acceptable.
Full valid driving licence and own car required for occasional journeys; car journeys not essential.
DBS & DisclosureEnhanced DBS check required under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
Manchester Adult Education – Course Offerings- Project Management – accredited level 2 portfolio based.
- Programming – accredited level 2 exam based.
- Cybersecurity – accredited level 2.
- Networking – accredited level 2.
- Website Design – accredited level 2.
- Digital Marketing – accredited level 2.
- Skill‑Up drop‑in workshops (non‑accredited).
- Digital Skills for Beginners (non‑accredited).
- Microsoft for Work (non‑accredited).
- Deliver teaching and learning at consistently good or outstanding standard.
- Assess learners’ work accurately – formative and summative against awarding body criteria.
- Take course leadership responsibilities.
- Participate in team meetings and working groups.
- Comply with quality assurance procedures and service policies.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the subject area.
Lecturer with a track record of delivering IT courses to adult learners of varying skill levels.
- Hold GCSE A* – C / 9 – 4 in English and Maths (essential).
- Hold a teaching qualification – ideally Level 5 or willingness to work towards Level 5.
- Committed to developing teaching skills and qualifications (essential).
