RoleWe are currently seeking an Experienced Primary Teaching Assistant to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a desire to help them succeed academically and socially. You will be supporting children across the primary phase, providing both 1:1 and group support.
Key Responsibilities- Support the teacher in delivering lessons across a range of subjects, including English, Maths, and Science.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students, particularly those who may need additional help.
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of lessons, ensuring materials and resources are ready for class.
- Help manage classroom behaviour, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
- Track and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback to the teacher as needed.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and learning.
- Experience working as a Primary Teaching Assistant in the last 2 years within a UK primary school.
- Ability to adapt to different classroom settings and support a diverse range of students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for working with children and helping them achieve their best.
- Good knowledge of primary school curriculum and classroom management techniques.
- A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3) but not essential.
- Experience working with students with additional learning needs (e.g., SEND).
- Familiarity with intervention programmes (e.g., phonics, literacy/numeracy support).
- A patient, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to supporting children in their learning.
