Deputy Pastoral Head of Year
Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester
Contract Type: Fixed‑term (term time only, including INSET days)
Hours: Part‑time, 23 hours per week (Tuesday – Friday, 08:30 – 14:45)
Contract Length: Until 14 December 2026
Salary: SCP 22–26, pro rata

Support the Head of Year in managing a Year Group, focusing on the pastoral welfare of all students, communicating with families, collaborating with the Senior Leadership Team, driving initiatives for good attendance, and overseeing behaviour and safeguarding matters.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Head of Year in planning and delivering individual pathways.
- Model and promote the Oasis ethos.
- Lead, plan and deliver intervention plans for vulnerable students, ensuring they make good or better progress.
- Collaborate with SLT and other staff on pastoral initiatives.
- Communicate regularly with parents and families.
- Oversee behaviour and safeguarding matters for the year group.
- Drive attendance improvement initiatives.
- Support the implementation of school policy and procedures relating to welfare.
