Overview
Mon Fri 8.30am 3.45pm (3.30pm Friday). This is a fixed term post for 23 months with the possibility of a full-time position at the end of the training.

The Governors of St Sebastian’s RC Primary School are seeking to recruit a dedicated and talented teaching assistant to join our welcoming school.
Responsibilities- Aim to develop their skills under the guidance of school staff;
- Be committed to undertaking an apprenticeship framework in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools at level 2 (18 month study period);
- Be committed to undertaking functional skills in maths and English at Level 2 (if exemptions don’t apply)
- Be able to listen to advice given and follow clear directives;
- Have a positive approach to working with children;
- Commit to developing independent learners and encourage our children to achieve their potential;
- Be flexible in working across all key stages;
- Be able to work efficiently and independently;
- Promote a nurturing environment that stimulates positive behaviour and well-being;
- Commit to working in partnership with all those involved in the life of the school;
- A kind and caring ethos with high expectations;
- An enthusiastic, hardworking and friendly staff team
- Happy, enthusiastic and well-behaved children who enjoy coming to school
- A supportive leadership team committed to staff development
- Supportive governors and parents
