HLTA Attendance and Engagement Clifton Pupil Referral Unit Salford SNA

Overview

We are seeking to appoint a HLTA to join our Attendance and Engagement Team at the PRU. The core aim of the role is to support young people to overcome a range of barriers to improve their engagement with education. It is essential that you hold a driving licence and are confident to drive school transport. You will be expected to work within the school’s policy expectations, strengthening links with young people, their families and other agencies.

• have strong pastoral skills and behaviour management strategies
• be flexible and a committed team player
• have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire students
• understand and demonstrate the importance of attention to detail in their work

• driving licence and confidence to drive school transport
• commitment to ensuring that children make rapid progress in a supportive and caring environment
• the centre is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. The post is subject to a fully-enhanced DBS check.
• experience or eligibility in working with young people within an educational setting is desirable
