Behaviour Mentor – Wythenshawe Primary School

Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time – Permanent / Fixed Term
Salary: £13.50 – £14.50 per hour

This welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Wythenshawe is dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing environment where every child can thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.

We are seeking a committed and skilled Behaviour Mentor to support pupils who require additional help with behaviour, emotional regulation, and social development. The successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing across the school.

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group mentoring to support pupils’ behavioural, emotional, and social needs.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external agencies to develop effective behaviour strategies.
  • Supporting pupils in building self-regulation, resilience, and positive social interactions.
  • Monitoring and recording pupil progress, contributing to behaviour plans and review meetings.
  • Promoting a calm, positive, and inclusive atmosphere throughout the school.
  • Has experience supporting children with behavioural, social, or emotional needs.
  • Is patient, empathetic, and able to build trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Can work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Demonstrates strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Is committed to upholding the school’s values and ethos.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
