HLTA Attendance and Engagement

Overview

We are seeking to appoint a HLTA to join our Attendance and Engagement Team at the PRU.

The core aim of the role is to support young people to overcome a range of barriers to improve their engagement with education.

It is essential that you hold a driving licence and are confident to drive school transport. You will be expected to work within the school’s policy expectations, strengthening links with young people, their families and other agencies.

• Understand the value of education and contribute to the distinctive ethos of the centre
• Have strong pastoral skills and behaviour management strategies
• Be flexible and a committed team player
• Have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire students
• Understand and demonstrate the importance of attention to detail in their work
• The successful candidates will need to demonstrate a commitment to ensuring that children make rapid progress in a supportive and caring environment.

• Hold a valid driving licence and be confident to drive school transport
• Willingness to work within school policy expectations and safeguarding commitments
• Experience/ability in safeguarding and promoting welfare of young people
• All staff must pass a fully-enhanced DBS check
