We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 SATs Intervention Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in pupils’ academic progress and confidence as they prepare for their SATs.

As an Intervention Assistant, you will:

  • Deliver targeted support sessions to pupils in Year 6, focusing on English and Maths to ensure they are fully prepared for KS2 SATs.
  • Work with small groups and individual pupils who are working below age‑related expectations, helping them close gaps in learning.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the specific needs of each child, ensuring lessons are engaging and effective.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and SENCO where necessary.
  • Support pupils’ confidence and resilience, encouraging a positive attitude towards learning and assessments.
  • Minimum 12 months experience working within a primary school setting, following the National Curriculum.
  • Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum, particularly in English and Maths.
  • Ability to deliver structured interventions and differentiate learning for pupils of varying abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to supporting pupil progress.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
