SEN Teacher – Primary School (Salford) Teaching Personnel
Are you a compassionate, dedicated educator with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? Teaching Personnel are seeking a skilled SEN Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in the Salford area. The school supports pupils with moderate SEND, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), mild to moderate learning difficulties, speech and language needs, sensory processing differences, and social–emotional challenges. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference within a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to thrive.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, deliver and adapt high-quality lessons that meet the diverse needs of pupils with moderate SEN, ensuring progress across all areas of the curriculum.
- Create and implement personalised learning plans (EHCP-linked), setting clear, achievable targets in collaboration with the SENCO and wider team.
- Use a range of inclusive strategies and resources, including visual supports, multi-sensitive activities, and differentiated tasks to engage all learners.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, providing guidance, modelling best practice and ensuring consistent support for pupils throughout the day.
- Foster a positive, safe and structured classroom environment, promoting emotional regulation, independence and confidence in every child.
- Build strong relationships with parents, carers and external professionals, sharing progress updates and contributing to review meetings.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply through Teaching Personnel
- Up-to-date safeguarding and SEND training (or willingness to complete training with us)
- References covering the last 24 months
- Experience working with pupils with SEN in a primary setting (desirable)
- A patient, creative and adaptable approach to teaching
- Access to free specialist CPD, including Autism Awareness, Behaviour Management and Speech & Language strategies
- A dedicated consultant who supports you throughout your placement

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
