SEND Graduate Teaching Assistant – Greater Manchester

Are you a graduate looking to begin a career in education or SEND support? Smile Education is seeking compassionate and motivated individuals to support students with special educational needs and disabilities across Greater Manchester schools.
This role is ideal for graduates considering careers in teaching or education.
The Role
As a SEND Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide one-to-one and small-group support for students with SEND
Assist teachers in delivering inclusive and accessible lessons
Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development
Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff
Help create a safe, supportive, and nurturing learning environment
About You
You will have:
A degree in any subject (psychology, education, or related fields desirable)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach
A desire to gain hands-on classroom experience
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English & Maths.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply).Why join Smile:
