Reeson Education is working with a fantastic SEMH school in the Prestwich area to recruit a HLTA to support students across Key Stages 2, 3 & 4 on a full-time, long-term basis.

This nurturing and inclusive school provides a broad, balanced, and supportive curriculum to pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH). Staff work closely together to help students build confidence, resilience, and independence.

Key Responsibilities for the HLTA:

Lead small group sessions and interventions to support learning
Provide classroom support as a HLTA to pupils with SEMH needs
Cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher
Support students with emotional regulation and behaviour management
Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to adapt learning materials

Requirements for the HLTA:

Experience working as a HLTA or a strong Teaching Assistant looking to step up
Ability to support students with SEMH and additional needs
Confidence to lead sessions and support class learning
A calm, positive, and proactive approach to behaviour management
Commitment to a long-term role in a supportive school environment
