SEN Teaching Assistant; SEN TA - Girls Secondary School

The Role

You will provide 1:1  group support for students with SEN, which may include:

• Autism (ASD), ADHD, and SEMH needs
• Supporting students with EAL (English as an Additional Language)
• Adapting learning materials and support strategies to suit individual needs
• Promoting engagement, confidence and independence
• Supporting behaviour positively using encouragement and positive reinforcement
• Working closely with teachers, SENCO, and parents/carers to support progress

• Minimum 6 months classroom-based experience in the UK
  A calm, empathetic and resilient approach
• Strong communication skills and the abilityვალი to build positive relationships
• Available to start immediately

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Experience supporting ASD/ADHD/SEMH and/or EAL learners
• Team Teach or de-escalation training (December, not essential)

• Established partnership (15+ years) with a supportive, well-led school
• Positive working culture and high standards
• Excellent long-term prospects, with temp staff often made permanent
