GSL Education Manchester is supporting a well-led and high-achieving primary school in Tameside in their search for an experienced and enthusiastic Upper KS2 Class Teacher to join their team from February half term 2026 through to the end of the academic year

You’ll take full class responsibility for a Year 5 or Year 6 class and will play a key role in preparing pupils for end‑of‑year expectations
, including SATs (if applicable). Planning is shared across the year group and supported by subject leaders and SLT.
This role is ideal for a teacher who thrives in a high‑expectation, team‑driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned to the Upper KS2 curriculum
- Support pupils in achieving strong progress, particularly in English and Maths
- Contribute to assessment, moderation, and SATs preparation where appropriate
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, engagement, and presentation
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and school leaders
- QTS and recent experience in Upper Key Stage 2
- Confidence in preparing pupils for KS2 assessments and secondary transition
- A reflective and organised teacher with strong subject knowledge
- Excellent classroom management and clear communication
