Working Pattern: Full time

Working Hours: 32.5 hours per week term time only, plus 5 PPD days.

Oakwood Academy is an Outstanding Specialist Arts, Technology and Sports College based in Ellesmere Park Eccles for pupils with MLD and CLD.

We are seeking to appoint highly motivated and enthusiastic

Teaching Assistants to join our team at Oakwood main site and Willows primary provision.

• Provide 1:1 support to a range of pupils with specific medical needs, physical disabilites and a range of learning difficulties and complex needs.
• Support students with autism and sensory needs, as per pupil’s individual requirements.
• Promote pupils’ independence, confidence and educational progress.

• High expectations for all students and commitment to developing their full potential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills needed to support learning.
• Positive, caring, flexible attitude, capable of working as part of a team and independently.
• Previous experience working with pupils with autism and sensory needs is desirable.
• Ability to work flexible hours as appropriate.
