The Role

We are seeking Lecturers to teach across a range of undergraduate levels as part of the BSc (Hons) Health, Wellbeing & Social Care programme with our Oxford Brookes University partnership (OBU). Due to our delivery model, flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings and weekends is required.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Lecturer in Health, Wellbeing & Social Care at Global Banking School, you will deliver management‑related modules in the above areas. You'll develop and deliver comprehensive course materials, undertake all aspects of learning, teaching and assessment of students, and keep up to date with latest developments in your field and student support practices.

Responsibilities Include
  • All aspects of planning, delivering, and assessing student work, ensuring that all learning outcomes are met.
  • Developing, updating, and improving course materials as appropriate.
  • Using a variety of learning and teaching methods and materials.
  • Actively engaging in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties.
  • Understanding and keeping up to date with latest developments in your field and student support practices.
  • Working towards a range of clearly defined objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and student progression.
About You
  • Hold a Master's degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable).
  • Have previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area.
  • Be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter.
  • Have experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
  • Have experience of accurate reporting and ability to maintain thorough and organised student records.
  • Can work under pressure, plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines.
  • Have excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills.
  • Can work with diverse groups of people.
Desirable
  • Hold a Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification, or have a commitment to enrol in a teaching programme during the probationary period and complete it within three years, or hold an HEA Fellowship (or international equivalent).
  • Experience of design / development of academic or professional education programmes or equivalent.
