Overview
Manchester Foundation Trust (MFT) is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic team player for a 12-month Post-CCT Vascular Interventional Radiology Fellowship. The successful candidate will work alongside a team of 13 consultant vascular radiologists within a multidisciplinary vascular interventional service, with opportunities to develop sub-specialty interests.
Responsibilities- Provide angiography lists and support for hybrid vascular operating theatres.
- Participate in MDTs, vascular reporting, and the VIR consultant-of-the-day role.
- Engage in IR clinics and participate in the cross-city VIR on-call rota.
- Collaborate with a team delivering a comprehensive range of procedures to support vascular surgery, major trauma, hepatobiliary surgery, hepatology, urology, paediatric intervention, renal and pancreatic transplantation, plastic surgery, cardiology, and cardiothoracic services—including ECMO and heart/lung transplantation.
The MFT Vascular Interventional Radiology (VIR) team delivers a comprehensive range of procedures and operates within a consultant-of-the-day model at the MRI site. The service is expanding to unify vascular services across Greater Manchester into a single, integrated network serving 2.8 million people, offering opportunities for advanced training and service innovation.
