Chorlton Family Practice is seeking to recruit a 5-session GP Partner to join our established partnership, in anticipation of the planned retirement of one of our senior partners in April 2026
.

- Core responsibilities of a GP Partner, including QOF and Locally Commissioned Services delivery,
- Support for Elderly Care team
- Oversight of local nursing home
- Role in GP trainee supervision and interest or accreditation in GP education
- The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population
- The provision of services commensurate with the primary care contract
- Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
- Effective management of long-term conditions
- Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks
- On a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles
- Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance
- Work collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
- Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
- Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice
- Lead on specific areas for national and local contracting requirements
- Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings as required
- Lead on specific strategic and practice development projects as required by the partnership
- Ensure compliance with the appraisal and revalidation o
- Commit to self-learning and instil an ethos of continuing professional development across the practice team
- Support the training of GPSTs and ACPs where required
- Support the partners in achieving the strategic aims of the practice, making recommendations to enhance income and reduce expenditure
- Review and always adhere to practice protocols and policies
- Encourage collaborative working, liaising with all staff regularly, always promoting a culture of continuous improvement
- Fully qualified General Practitioner, holding MRCGP, Vocational Training Certificate, or Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) awarded by the JCPTGP or an equivalent recognised body.
- Evidence of successful completion of GP specialty training and eligibility to practise as an independent practitioner within UK primary care.
- Commitment to maintaining professional standards, clinical competence, and ongoing development in line with GMC requirements.
- 1) Experience of working within a UK primary care environment, including providing patient-centred care across a range of consultation types (face-to-face, telephone, and remote consultations).
- 2) Demonstrable experience of working within a multidisciplinary primary care team, contributing to safe, effective, and coordinated patient care.
- 3) Evidence of active engagement in continued professional development (CPD), reflective learning, and professional supervision where appropriate.
- 4) Detailed understanding of QOF indicators, including accurate clinical coding, disease register management, and contribution to achievement and review.
- 5) Experience of medicines management, including repeat prescribing, structured medication reviews, and collaborative working with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
