We're looking for an Asbestos Surveyor to join our national team. You'll play a key part in keeping our buildings safe and compliant, delivering asbestos surveying activity across the NHS estate and supporting projects that improve patient environments.

This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing role where you'll work across a varied patch, build strong relationships with site teams and stakeholders, and provide trusted advice as a regional subject matter expert for asbestos. The Salary on offer is from £39,500 + £3,000 car allowance.

Who you are

You're a safety‑led asbestos professional who enjoys being out on site, solving problems, and delivering high‑quality work that stands up to scrutiny. You can manage your own workload, plan your week effectively, and communicate clearly with a wide range of colleagues and customers.

You'll bring the core qualifications and experience required to operate in a regulated environment, with confidence producing accurate, detailed reports and responding to ad‑hoc asbestos queries.

This role requires travel to sites across the north‑west and the west midlands.

Key responsibilities
  • Deliver statutory asbestos activity including re‑inspection checks and asbestos management surveying, in line with internal processes and the asbestos management plan.
  • Complete refurbishment and demolition surveys to support capital works and planned projects.
  • Produce clear, accurate survey reports and associated documentation to a high quality and within agreed timescales.
  • Act as a regional first point of contact for asbestos‑related queries, providing practical advice and escalating where needed.
  • Work closely with operational teams to arrange access, support delivery activity, and respond to reactive requests (including additional inspections and sampling where required).
  • Contribute to internal reporting and assurance activity, supporting effective governance and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain strong organisation of your own workload, including time for reporting/admin activities as part of your weekly routine.
What you'll bring
  • At least 2 years' experience in asbestos surveying.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in a customer‑facing role.
  • Ability to work independently across multiple sites, plan effectively, and deliver to deadlines.
What we can offer you:

We understand how important life is outside of work so, as well as a competitive salary we will also offer:

  • 27 days annual leave + 8 days bank holiday with the option to buy additional weeks leave.
  • A Smarter Working Policy, empowering you to choose the location of how and where you work according to your daily activities.
  • Training and development opportunities, providing opportunities for our colleagues to develop and progress their careers at all levels through our Professional Excellence Framework.
  • SMART Pension contribution into which the company will contribute up to 6%
  • A range of flexible benefits including NHS retail discounts and Cycle to Work Scheme.
  • We have a great Colleague Assistance Programme and offer support for all areas of life.
An organisation with a passion…
