Assistant Designer (Sportswear)

Area: THG Nutrition (Myprotein Activewear)

(Full Time Office Based)

Responsibilities
  • Work with the design team to develop the product range from concept to final product for both mens and womenswear categories and present this in season presentations.
  • Use technical and innovative knowledge to create concepts and designs through to the delivery of the final product, pushing this forward season on season.
  • Develop the design, liaising with factories to ensure products are delivered on time and to a high standard.
  • Complement designs with sourcing of trims and fabrics, whilst meeting price points.
  • Stay at the forefront of market trends both internally and externally.
  • Keep up to date with new factories and techniques used for fabrics, finishes and more.
  • Support the manufacturing base with any technical issues during production.
  • Maintain critical paths up to date throughout the season.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree level education (Fashion/Textile Design).
  • Experience with designing / producing and updating product tech packs through the design/production process.
  • Knowledge of product and manufacturing.
  • Strong Adobe skills in Photoshop / Illustrator.
  • Confident and clear communication skills at all levels and a desire to build strong working relationships.
  • Planning and organisational skills, with problem‑solving abilities.
  • The desire to improve ways of working and innovate, driven, enthusiastic and self‑motivated.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to thrive within this fast‑growing business.
  • Understanding of the sports/performance market.
