Customer service is the act of taking care of the customer's needs by providing and delivering professional, helpful, high quality service and assistance before, during, and after the customer's requirements are met. Customer service is meeting the needs and desires of any customer.

One of the key responsibilities of the Customer Services Advisor is to use the tools provided to complete their tasks to the best of their ability. Additionally, the role requires a strong working relationship with both domestic transport and operations to provide the best all‑round solution for our customers.

  • Ensuring Quality is at the heart of our processes.
  • Customer queries and escalations via phone, email, face to face.
  • Working closely with imports, exports, charter, domestic and warehouse.
  • Raising issues with partners.
  • Spot quotes and existing business sales calls, supporting the development of a “hot prospect” list of potential new lanes or lost business.
  • Supporting Sales Hub & external sales.
  • Onboarding new customers.
  • Servicing new business.
  • Improving and finding inefficiencies and cost savings within the processes.
  • Providing reports on turnover, margins, bookings, top/flop business.
  • Project work and KPI production.
  • Participate in training sessions to remain updated on compliance protocols and procedures.
  • Any other additional tasks in line with the evolving needs of the business.

Qualifications / Experience
  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Math.
  • Road freight background.
  • Proven record of internal sales.
