Marketing & Brand at Primark

What’s a career at Primark all about? The positive impact you’re making, the experiences you’re having and the people you’re with. You’re our inspiration. Embrace what sets you apart, own your career and develop in ways you never expected. Leave your mark. And do it your way.

We are seeking a highly skilled, detail‑driven In‑House Studio Still Life Photographer to deliver world‑class still life and product imagery across fashion, home, beauty, e‑commerce, campaign, social, and editorial content. Working closely with Art Direction, in‑house stylists, retouchers, and studio stakeholders, you will execute defined creative visions with strong technical expertise and creative problem‑solving. This role suits a confident, collaborative photographer who thrives in a fast‑paced retail studio, maintains exceptional visual standards, and drives quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

What

You’ll Do as a Still Life Photographer

In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:

  • Deliver world‑class still life photography across e‑commerce, campaigns, product launches, social and digital marketing, executing imagery under Art Direction, translating creative briefs and shot lists, and producing clean, accurate, consistent fashion, beauty, home, and lifestyle imagery suitable for high‑volume studio work.
  • Support creative expansion by capturing motion content (videos, GIFs, stop motion, social‑first assets) and contributing ideas that push creative boundaries and elevate output.
  • Collaborate closely with stylists, retouchers, studio and brand teams, ensuring strong composition, smooth handovers, consistent post‑production, adherence to workflows, timelines, naming conventions, and participating in regular image reviews to maintain style guides and asset rules.
  • Set up, manage, and maintain all studio equipment, including lighting, cameras, and props, while upholding high standards of studio organisation, equipment care, and visual consistency.
  • Ensure efficient studio operations by correctly processing, naming, uploading, and archiving all images, supporting production planning, shot lists, scheduling, and assisting with ad‑hoc off‑site photography projects.
  • Drive continuous development by refining style guides and asset rules, improving quality, processes, efficiency, and capabilities, sharing knowledge and best practices, and setting priorities aligned with wider business objectives.
What You’ll Bring

We want every person in our organisation to feel like they’re making a key contribution. Here are some of the experiences and skills you’ll need for the role:

  • 4+ years’ experience in still life or studio photography, supported by a strong portfolio across fashion, beauty, home, product, and e‑commerce, with proven ability to work in fast‑paced fashion or retail studio environments.
  • Exceptional technical expertise, including outstanding understanding of lighting, composition, colour accuracy, texture, detail, and highly proficient use of Capture One, Adobe Photoshop, and retouching workflows.
  • Strong creative and problem‑solving skills, confidently working within directed creative frameworks while providing both technical and creative solutions that elevate visual output.
  • Excellent organisational capability, with strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, and remain calm under pressure.
  • Effective communication and collaboration, with strong interpersonal skills, cross‑functional influence, and deep knowledge of industry‑standard studio workflows and best practices.
  • Additional strengths and attributes, including experience with motion/video capture (GIFs, transitions, stop motion, social content), understanding of still/motion integration for digital platforms, and a personal profile that is detail‑oriented, proactive, solution‑focused, fashion‑forward, product‑aware, and passionate about world‑class imagery.

Does this sound like you? Great, because we can’t wait to see what you’ll bring. You’ll be supported…
