The Middleweight Designer plays a key role within Epigram’s Creative Studio, delivering high-quality, brand-aligned creative work across a range of clients and formats. This role requires confidence working from brief, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to delivery, with guidance and support provided by the Creative Leads and the UK Creative Team Lead.

The role also requires strong conceptual thinking, with the ability to interpret briefs, develop clear creative ideas, and translate them into effective, well-crafted design solutions.

The role is hands-on and design-led, with a strong emphasis on InDesign-based document design for producing documents, reports, campaigns and other brand-led materials. This core skill is supported by a broader set of Adobe Creative Cloud capabilities, enabling delivery across digital, motion graphics and presentation outputs where appropriate.

While creative direction, feedback and quality oversight are always provided by Creative Lead colleagues and the UK Creative Team Lead, this is not a junior role – designers are expected to bring established core skills and a professional approach to deadlines, detail and collaboration.

Design work should consistently meet Epigram’s quality standards, brand guidelines and studio best practices, with a strong focus on accuracy, clarity and craft.

• Around 3–5 years’ commercial design experience within an agency or studio environment, or equivalent. Experienced Junior Designers with demonstrated readiness to progress to Middleweight level will also be considered.
• Strong conceptual skills, with the ability to generate and develop design ideas from brief through to execution.
• Strong, well-rounded working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, with InDesign as an essential core tool.
• Demonstrable experience producing documents, reports, campaigns and other brand-led materials using InDesign.
• Strong understanding of typography, layout and brand consistency.
• High attention to detail and pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience creating motion or animated assets, particularly using After Effects.
• Familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint presentation design.
• Experience working with professional services or brand-heavy clients.
• Experience collaborating across teams or time zones.
• Mandarin language skills would be welcomed as an additional capability but are not a requirement for the role.
