This is a contract hybrid role for a Social Media Content Creator, based in Manchester, with the flexibility to work remotely on certain days. The Social Media Content Creator will be responsible for developing, scheduling, and managing engaging social media content across various channels. Daily tasks include brainstorming content ideas, crafting captions, designing visuals, monitoring social media performance, and engaging with the community to foster conversations.
Collaboration with the editorial and creative teams to align social media content with the brand's storytelling mission will also form a key part of the role.
- Experience in Social Media Content Creation, including crafting posts, managing accounts, and scheduling content.
- Expertise in Visual Content Design, Photography, or creating aesthetically appealing graphics for digital platforms.
- Proficiency in Social Media Analytics and reporting to track and improve engagement metrics.
- Strong Copywriting and Caption Writing skills to produce engaging and brand-aligned posts.
- Understanding of Social Media Trends, tools, and platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, Twitter, and Linked In.
- Excellent Communication skills with the ability to engage audiences and build an online community.
- Prior experience with multi-cultural storytelling or familiarity with the content themes of The Whale Mag is a plus.
