Groundwork Supervisor

Tatton Projects are seeking an experienced Groundworks Supervisor / Working Foreman for a commercial warehouse extension project in Oldham.

Plus further works on other commercial and domestic projects with footings and other Groundworks.

The successful candidate will oversee the groundworks phase including piling coordination, reinforced concrete beams, floor slab construction, drainage installation, and preparation for steel frame erection.

This is a hands‑on supervisory role, ideal for someone who can lead a small team while maintaining productivity, safety and programme.

• Supervise all groundworks operatives and subcontractors
• Coordinate piling contractor and ensure correct setting‑out
• Manage excavation, reinforcement installation, and concrete pours
• Check levels, line, and base plate positions for steel erection
• Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications, and CDM requirements
• Maintain site safety standards and PPE compliance
• Liaise daily with the Project Manager / Principal Contractor Requirements
• Proven experience supervising groundworks on commercial or industrial projects
• Strong knowledge of foundations, drainage, slabs and setting‑out
• Ability to read drawings and coordinate works accordingly
• SSSTS or SMSTS preferred
• Valid CSCS card (Supervisor or Skilled Worker)
• Good communication and organisational skills
