Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor Rail Freelance

Rate up to £400 per day. Slight flexibility for the right person. Outside IR35.

Location:

West side of Manchester

Working pattern:
Site based. Full time.

This is a site based commercial role working for a well established rail subcontractor delivering works on a live framework across the North West.

You will be part of the project delivery team, handling the day to day commercial management of rail works. This is a hands on role rather than a reporting or head office position.

• Contract administration
• Change management and variations
• Applications for payment and assessments
• CVRs and cost reporting
• Supporting the project team with commercial input
• Managing subcontractor and supplier payments

• Proven rail experience is essential
• Experience working for a subcontractor or main contractor
• Comfortable working full time on site
• Strong understanding of commercial processes on rail projects
• Practical, delivery focused approach

Suitable for an experienced QS or SQS. Job title is less important than capability.

• Outside IR35 engagement
• Longer term framework work
• Stable workload in the North West
