Building Control Surveyors Required Contract Length: 6 months initially

Negotiable Hourly/Daily (Inside IR35) Venn Group are currently supporting a council in the East Midlands who are seeking 2x Class 2 and 1x Class 3 Building Control Surveyors to join their Regulatory Services team. These roles are ideal for professionals with strong knowledge of Building Regulations, particularly around fire safety, dangerous structures, and enforcement procedures. The successful candidates will be responsible for:
Examining deposited plans to ensure compliance with Building Regulations Conducting site inspections to monitor building work and ensure legal compliance Investigating and reporting on dangerous structures and demolition sites Undertaking enforcement procedures for non-compliant building work Providing technical advice to architects, engineers, and the public Liaising with Fire Services, utilities, and other agencies Maintaining accurate records of inspections and actions taken Participating in an out-of-hours emergency rota for dangerous structures The successful candidates will have:
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Building Control Surveyor (Class
2) or extensive experience with complex/high-rise buildings (Class
3) HNC or degree in Building Construction, Building Control, or Building Surveying Strong understanding of building construction and fire safety legislation Familiarity with enforcement procedures and site safety Ability to work independently and as part of a team Full driving licence and willingness to undertake inspections in all weather conditions To learn more about this excellent opportunity, apply with your most updated CV or email as soon as possible.
