Senior Quantity Surveyor

Unify have collaborated with a Civil Engineering Business based in the Northwest seeking a commercially aware and highly organised individual to take ownership of their own projects and sites from pre-construction through to final account. This role will involve managing financial aspects of brand-new construction sites, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and helping to develop robust internal costing systems.

You will be responsible for ensuring accurate cost control, timely applications for payment, and effective commercial management across your allocated projects.

Key Responsibilities

* Attend and contribute to Pre-Construction Meetings

* Prepare and submit external applications for payment and invoicing

* Reconcile client payments and maintain accurate financial records

* Price variations, design changes, and additional works

* Prepare and agree final accounts

* Complete quarterly internal cost valuations and cost-to-complete (CTC) reports

* Assist in the development and maintenance of internal costing systems, including use of the Eque2 software package

* Take full ownership of your own jobs and sites, managing brand-new projects from inception to completion

* Liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal team

Skills & Experience Required

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Highly computer literate, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel

* Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail

* Well-organised, reliable, and punctual

* Ability to work independently and take responsibility for multiple projects

* Minimum HNC in Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline

Desirable Attributes

* Experience working in a construction or civil engineering environment

* Familiarity with Eque2 or similar costing / commercial software

* Proactive approach and willingness to develop internal processes
