Program / Project Manager, Operations Manager
Cumming Management Group, a Cost and Project Management Consultancy within the construction industry, provides a wide range of services to clients spanning several different sectors.

Associate Cost Manager – Manchester/Stoke‑on‑TrentLocation:
Manchester or Stoke‑on‑Trent.
- Integral part of a team responsible for the commercial and contractual performance of various projects
- Provide cost management services through pre‑ and post‑contract processes
- Support clients and the team in client presentations and new works
- Support business objectives by delivering value for money in all circumstances
- Carry out assigned duties efficiently and in accordance with processes and procedures
- Comply with established commercial, procurement and pisinnaolithic strategies
- Take personal responsibility for complying with Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards
- Develop relationships with clients, consultants and contractors
- Draft, advise and execute procurement strategies
- Preparation of indicative cost budgets and appraisals
- Preparation of elemental cost plans
- Provide advice and opinion regarding client development plans and expectations
- Market testing of key elements for developments
- Data analysis on design efficiencies and benchmark comparison
- Preparing and issuing tender documents
- Running tender processes including managing queries from tendering contractors
- Scrutinising and verifying interim payment applications
- Managing change control in accordance with contracts
- Producing cost reports and cost forecasting
- Assisting project managers in preparing early warnings, instructions and compensation events
- Promote commercial awareness throughout project
- Advising and liaising with internal project and cost control team
- Developing commercial strategies
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a similar technical discipline
- Strong technical delivery experience
- Experience in hotel and residential projects desirable
- MRICS or working towards Chartered status
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Ability to successfully manage complex projects in a proactive and diligent manner
- Strong cost planning experience
- Experience of providing procurement advice, tender documentation and post‑contract services
- Client facing, ensuring a high standard of delivery
- Previously employed by a consultancy or end‑user client
- A track record of working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering deadlines
